Darwin Initiative Grants

The Darwin Initiative is a small grants program, administered by the U.K. government, designed to assist countries rich in biodiversity but poor in resources with the implementation of the Biodiversity Convention. Earthwatch (Europe) has helped several principal investigators apply for additional support from the Darwin Initiative, raising the profile of their research projects and enhancing the effectiveness of their efforts in the field. Eligible grantees are from the U.K. and have collaborative projects involving local institutions in the host country.
