Herschel PostHerschel Post, MBE, Chair. Mr. Post retired as international managing director, business development, of Christie's, the international auction house. Prior to joining Christie's, Mr. Post was chief executive and deputy chairman of Coutts & Co. London. He was chief operating officer of Lehman Brothers London and was deputy chairman of the London Stock Exchange between 1989-1995. Earlier in his career, Mr. Post was executive director of a charity supporting parks and recreation in New York City, subsequently serving as deputy administrator in the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Administration in New York, a city agency charged with administering 10,000 acres of park and 12,000 employees. Mr. Post is a graduate of Yale and Oxford Universities, and Harvard Law School.

Whitney L. Johnson, Chair, Earthwatch (US) Board of Directors, Vice-Chair, Earthwatch International Board of DirectorsWhitney L. Johnson, Vice-Chair, is a Principal with PlumRiver LLC, a provider of business-to-business and sales automation software focused on the footwear, apparel, and sporting goods industries. PlumRiver's mission is to bring efficiency to the relationship between manufacturers and their independent retail customers. Prior to co-founding PlumRiver, Mr. Johnson was the founder and CEO of Lion Rock International, a major sourcing and manufacturing company with offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Boston, as well as manufacturing plants in Costa Rica. One of the divisions of this company, Natural Sources, focused on producing and marketing apparel made from 100 percent organic cotton, a growing and environmentally beneficial segment of the textile market. Mr. Johnson also served on the Board of Directors for Allegro Inc., a leader in producing textile dyes without the harsh chemicals and heavy metals normally associated with the textile industry. Before founding Lion Rock, he was the Senior Vice President of Karhu North America, in charge of their Outdoor division, which included the Merrell footwear and Trak and Karhu cross-country ski brands.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Dartmouth College, where he studied international economics and was Captain of the Ski Team. Later he was a member of the US Cross Country Ski Development Team. Raised in Switzerland and Germany, Johnson is fluent in French and German. He currently lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts, with his wife, Mollie, and two children.

Ruth C. Sheer, Vice ChairRuth C. Scheer, Vice Chair, is the retired executive director of the Cabot Family Charitable Trusts, which make grants each year of roughly $3 million to a variety of national and international non-profit organizations. Ms. Scheer serves on the Advisory Council of the Harvard School of Public Health's Center for Population and International Health. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Automobile Association of Southern New England. Ruth is a Trustee of the New England Conservatory of Music and a Governor of the Museum of Fine Arts School. She is also a Trustee of Collage, a contemporary chamber music ensemble and a Director of the Castine (Maine) Historical Society. Ruth is past chairman of the board of Governors of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, chairman of the board of the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park and is a member of the Chilton Club, and the Harvard Musical Association.

Philip L. WeickhardtPhilip L. Weickhardt, Chair. From 1997-2001, Mr. Weickhardt was the CEO of Orica Limited (formerly ICI Australia), a publicly listed company, which is the world's largest commercial explosives supplier and Australia's largest chemical company. Prior to this, Mr. Weickhardt spent 26 years in a wide variety of roles within the ICI Group, including 7 years in the U.K. early in his career. Mr. Weickhardt is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Melbourne - Mt. Eliza Business School and is a Commissioner with the Productivity Commission (an independent policy research group of the Federal Government). He is also Chairman of another not-for-profit, and is a member of the Board of a Cooperative Research Centre focused on molecular plant breeding. Mr. Weickhardt has a M.S. from the University of Melbourne in physical chemistry, and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 1990.

Kikujiro NambaKikujiro Namba, Chair, is the president of Promotech, Inc., Tokyo, Japan, a knowledge company focusing on venture business creation based on innovative technologies for the betterment of human life and activation of the world economy. Prior to founding Promotech, Mr. Namba founded Technova, Inc., a brain trust contributing to human development through the research of advanced technologies on energy, environment, agribiotech, and medical issues. Mr. Namba is the director of The Thermal & Electric Energy Technology Foundation, councilor of the Foundation Advanced Technology Institute, and supervisor of both the Japan Grandwork Association and the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech. He is also a member of The Club of Rome.
