Earthwatch Institute’s mission is to promote sustainable conservation of our natural resources and cultural heritage by creating partnerships between scientists, educators and the general public. To realize this mission, Earthwatch Institute has three recognized areas of focus: Research, Education and Conservation. This year, Earthwatch will sponsor over 130 scientific field research projects in 49 countries and 18 American states, making estimated volunteer field grants of $3.7 million.

We're looking for an inspired and strong person to lead the effort and be “champions for change.” Working in tandem with the Online Manger (Content), the newly-created Online Manager (Experience and Design) role will be an important one, as Earthwatch’s historical marketing emphasis on print and direct mail is rapidly shifting online.
The Engagement Assistant is responsible for supporting the various efforts of Engagement Department staff. The successful candidate will support the Coordinators, Outreach Coordinator and Manager of Engagement to help manage communication with inquiries, applicants and fellows, track funding balances, organize incoming information, and assist with marketing, recruitment and network development. Interface with all Engagement Department staff in order to support and maintain streamlined programs and an efficient work environment.
The Briefings Editor will work in Earthwatch Institute’s Field Management Department in its US headquarters in Maynard, MA. The Editor will be responsible for all stages of the production of Earthwatch Expedition Briefings.
The International Research team at Earthwatch develops and supports field research projects in collaboration with a wide range of external scientists and other stakeholders. In order to further develop our research program, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated environmental scientist for the post of Research Director for Sustainable Resource Management at Earthwatch. The post holder will be based in our US office, but will collaborate with colleagues in the UK and Australia as part of an international team responsible for the research program at Earthwatch.
