Earthwatch Institute is an international not-for-profit environmental organisation which funds field research expeditions in over 50 countries
Earthwatch is an international environmental organisation that engages people in scientific research to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment. We work in partnership with scientists, business, government and philanthropic organisations to provide opportunities for a broad range of people to learn through our unique experiential model.
Earthwatch does not employ the scientists or research staff that run the expeditions we support - these people generally work for universities or other research institutions. Earthwatch staff are involved in management, administration, communication, recruitment and development of various Earthwatch programs and partnerships designed to engage people in scientific field research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment.
Earthwatch Institute (Australia) headquarters are based at 126 Bank St, South Melbourne, Victoria 3205.
