Going Green Expo hopes to educate and inform

The Going Green Expo hopes to educate consumers and businesses who realise that action and change is needed but are not sure what steps they can and should take.

Opening World Environment Day, the expo is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest products, services and new technologies available for every Australian industry and household to reduce environmental impact, greenhouse emissions and contribute to a healthier planet.

“We believe there is no better time or opportunity to deliver a mainstream educational environmental platform in light of the recent huge shift in consciousness being experienced in Australia at present. Our vision and long term goal is to see this event staged as a pivotal forum to educate and influence real change in the habits of all Australians.” - Anthony Doran, Event Manager (AEE)

Earthwatch will be attending the event and hopes to inspire visitors to join one of their 120 global expeditions. These research expeditions contribute directly towards scientific research and conservation outcomes such as helping to protect threatended species and habitats.

The Expo will be at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Thursday June 5 - Sunday 8, 2008.
