Earthwatch offers a wide range of programs and resources for educators and students. See the categories below for specific offerings, and be sure to check back often to see what's new. With Earthwatch, you can get out of the classroom and into the world. You’ll make a difference for our shared environment, work on cutting edge research teams, and have the experience of a lifetime.

For Students
Earthwatch offers students the chance to go on fully funded Earthwatch Expeditions around the world through its Student Fellowships and Student Challenge Awards Program.

Students can also volunteer on our Teen Team Expeditions, bring their families along on our Family Teams, or help their teachers organize a High School or College or University Group expedition.

For Educators
If you want to get into the field yourself, check out our Educator Fellowships, including our Live From the Field program, which lets you bring your Earthwatch experience to your classroom and community as it happens. Also consider organizing one of our group expeditions for a High School or College or University team. (In most cases, educators who lead a group of 6 or more students on one of these group expeditions will have their costs covered by Earthwatch.)

Earthwatch offers lesson plans on topics ranging from butterflies to zebras, from Alaskan glaciers to Trinidad's beaches, inspired by the experiences of educators (grades K-12) who've gone on our expeditions.
