Based in the charming Greek village of Vonitsa on the Amvrakikos Gulf, you’ll have the opportunity to experience traditional village life as you help researchers conduct daily surveys on the area's bottlenose dolphins.

Paul says,‘I am really excited about setting sail with the crew of the ‘Polar Bear’ and to flying the flag for Earthwatch. The seas around the UK and the multitude of species that live in them are severely threatened by pollution, development and over-fishing. Earthwatch is carrying out vital scientific research here in the UK and around the world to help us understand and protect our precious oceans. By getting involved in the Fastnet challenge, I hope to help Earthwatch to raise awareness of these urgent environmental problems and of course to have a lot of fun in the process!’
