African Forest Biodiversity: A Field Survey Manual for Vertebrates/La biodiversité des forêts d'Afrique: Manuel pratique de recensement des vertébrés.

During 2001/02, Earthwatch published and distributed African Forest Biodiversity: A Field Survey Manual for Vertebrates. In 2007, it was translated into French. The manual provides conservationists with an overview of data-gathering methods needed for effective management of African forests. The manual is particularly aimed at:

  • people carrying out short reconnaissance surveys and expeditions.
  • undergraduate and graduate students carrying out project and thesis work.
  • research departments of forest, wildlife and national parks.
  • forest and wildlife managers and technicians with responsibility for monitoring biodiversity.
