Katie Wilson on Costa Rica's MonkeysKatie joined Earthwatch in May 2003 as Publications Officer, became Publications and Web Manager in 2005 and now works solely on updating, optimising and strategically developing the ever expanding Earthwatch (Europe) website.

Katie went on Monitoring British Mammals in Wytham Woods, Oxfordshire in May 2003 and actually found out she had got the Earthwatch job whilst on this project! Since then she has been on Crocodiles of the OkavangoCosta Rica's Monkeys, and West African Manatee Conservation in Ghana.

Before joining Earthwatch, Katie had various marketing and business networking roles.  In her last job, she was a Science and Technology Manager at Greenham Common Trust, tasked with raising the profile of science and technology in south east England. This involved promoting public understanding of science through organising an annual Festival of Science, developing links between academia, industry and local authorities, and helping to establish Newbury Enterprise Hub to provide support for high-tech start-up businesses.

She has a BSc (Hons) in Anthropology and an MSc in Primate Conservation, both from Oxford Brookes University and an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Katie is passionate about wildlife conservation and travel, loves walking and camping, is a keen gardener and enjoys attempting to surf.

Vinay Saini
Web Developer

Vinay started at Earthwatch in Jan 2008 and is responsible for developing various web applications such as Earthwatch's expedition results database and a new tool to allow volunteers to raise funds online for their expedtions.

With a B.Tech in Computer Science, Vinay has previously developed applications for the telecoms, shipping and financial sectors.  He enjoys trekking, playing and watching sports.
