Bluewater Young Environmentalist
Bluewater shopping centre and Earthwatch have once again teamed up to provide you the opportunity of winning a place on an exciting Earthwatch Expedition!
So, what's the competition all about?
Whether helping to conserve Puerto Rico's incredible rainforest; survey bottlenose dolphins in the Mediterranean; monitor mammal populations in Nova Scotia; or join an expedition to one of many other research projects, this is your chance to join professional scientists on the front line of conservation, in some of the world's most amazing places, and become a hero for the planet!
Where can I go and what would I be doing?
Costa Rica, Australia and Canada are just some of the 60 or so destinations you could be doing conservation work with Earthwatch. Expeditions are much more than holidays - they are a hands-on, practical and fun way for you to help a conservation project protect the world's endangered species, threatened habitats and ecosystems through genuine research.
From tracking and tagging sharks in the Caribbean, to monitoring zebra populations in Africa and surveying rainforests in South East Asia, you'll work alongside a world-class scientific research team attempting to better understand the planet and the environment.
"Anyone considering taking part in the competition should go for it; it is a once in a lifetime experience you will never forget!" What our 2010 winners say >
