This summer, come together with friends over dinner, and help Earthwatch celebrate World Environment Day.
Environmentally-conscious dining is fast becoming eco-chic, and the pièce de résistance to an unforgettable evening. By hosting your own green dinner party you could help the planet while enjoying a fabulous feast with friends.
You can use your dinner party as an opportunity to raise vital funds for Earthwatch research. Ask your friends to donate to Earthwatch instead of bringing a bottle. Create an event profile, post menus and send invitations from Dinner4Good.

Impress your guests with local produce. Not only does it avoid the pollution and contamination that can come with imported goods, it’s also fresher, making your meal taste even better.
You could also consider organic produce, or offer 100% vegetarian menus, which use up fewer resources than meat in production. Drink organic wine - Continental or British choices will reduce air miles. To go the whole hog, you could even use fair-trade cotton table cloths and napkins, as well as ethical kitchenware. Dining by candle light is always nice, especially if burning recycled wax! The final touch could be home-grown table decorations – dahlias, marigolds and zinnias are all in season and could come straight from the garden to brighten up the room.
So there you have it – your very own environmentally-conscious dinner party!
Don’t forget to tell us about your party! Join us on Facebook and post your menu, pictures, or even a video with your own brand of comic commentary.
