Paul Rose
Paul is an avid explorer and presenter of the recent BBC 'Oceans' series. His work has taken him to some of the most challenging marine environments in the Arctic, the Red Sea, the Sea of Cortez and the Indian Ocean.
‘It's a fact that we know more about the surface of Mars than we do of the Earth's oceans', says Paul. 'Our oceans contain more than 99 per cent of the living space on Earth. And when we consider that humans have explored less than 10 per cent of this vast space, it's no wonder that we understand so little about this unchartered expanse. The critical oceans research that Earthwatch is conducting is even more essential than ever.'
Paul is taking part in the Fastnet Yacht Race in August to raise awareness of the many threats facing our marine environment and to raise vital funds for our Oceans Appeal.
