Other Ways to Give
You can support Earthwatch in a variety of other ways:
If your company manages a workplace giving scheme, you can donate tax-free to Earthwatch through a deduction from your pay cheque. Your company may even match or double your donation!
Participating in a sponsored event (such as a race) is a fun and effective way to raise money for Earthwatch from among friends, family members, and work colleagues.
Raise Money In Aid of Earthwatch
Volunteer-led fundraising, such as small, local events are common yet highly effective forms of fundraising. Earthwatch welcomes the interest of volunteers to raise money in aid of Earthwatch, but the Code of Fundraising Practice published by the UK's Institute of Fundraising's must be observed.
If you are a UK tax payer, a gift of shares to Earthwatch exempts you from capital gains on the donated shares, and also attracts income tax relief. Similar relief applies to donations of land or buildings.
Help Earthwatch raise the funds it needs to manage specific programmes. Your gift will be used exclusively for the programme you choose to support. If you are a UK tax payer, you may be eligible for income tax relief on your donation.
Involve Your Company
Earthwatch values financial support from companies of all sizes. Your company can make a general donation, contribute to a special programme, donate goods or services, or include Earthwatch in its workplace giving programme. There are many forms of tax relief available to companies that give to Earthwatch.
If you work for a national or multinational company committed to sustainable business practices, a partnership with Earthwatch might help to achieve your company's sustainability objectives. Find out more about corporate partnerships.
Leaving something to Earthwatch in your will (called a legacy) will build future capacity to deliver our mission while, at the same time, reducing your estate's inheritance tax liability.
