Climate Change Expeditions
Climate change is one of the most critical environmental issues facing the planet today and is one of Earthwatch’s four Research Areas. Our climate change projects focus on evaluating the consequences of climate change as well as how we can adapt and manage ecosystems to safeguard livelihoods and achieve effective mitigation. These projects range from permafrost research at the Arctic’s edge where global warming is being most dramatically felt to research into the impacts of vegetation loss in the Ecuadorian Andes, one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots. Join one of our climate change projects and you’ll be involved in vital, cutting-edge climate change research.
