We are only now beginning to appreciate the effect of human impact on North America’s complex ecosystems.

The most difficult problems to tackle are those that are hard to see and quantify, like climate change which is affecting humans and wildlife. Changes are happening all around us. Glaciers are melting, dolphins and whales have to survive in increasingly polluted oceans.
