Travelling before or after your Earthwatch expedition?
For volunteers planning additional vacation days away from home before and/or after their Earthwatch expedition it is possible to buy insurance coverage for these additional days, if you are resident in the UK.

Please visit the dedicated page on the TUA website to purchase this cover if you need it. If you have additional vacation days both before and after your Earthwatch expedition you will need to buy coverage for these two periods in two separate transactions.

Please note: For volunteers travelling to their Earthwatch expedition for the purposes of joining this expedition only (i.e. volunteers with no additional vacation or travel plans) the insurance coverage included in your contribution to Earthwatch and described above starts from the time of leaving your place of residence or place of work whichever is last, until the scheduled end date of that Earthwatch expedition and including return travel to your place of residence or place of work, whichever is first. These volunteers will not need to buy any additional days of coverage.

Should you have any questions about this additional policy or whether you require coverage for your travel plans please contact Michelle Ralph at Sutton Winson. Earthwatch are not authorized by the FSA to give advice on any additional travel insurance you require, nor do we earn any commission from the enquiries we receive.
