Capacity Development

Earthwatch is actively seeking funding and help from conservation partners to continue its outstanding programme of training conservationists in developing countries.

The Earthwatch Capacity Development Programme is designed to deliver focussed scientific training to individuals and institutions involved with conservation. We achieve this through working with various scientific and conservation partners and funding agencies.

To date over 1000 individuals have benefitted from a place on the Capacity Development Programme. These participants have represented over 25 nationalities, have attended more than 35 different Earthwatch projects and have contributed over 100,000 hours to vital conservation research around the world.
