Earthwatch Learning

Earthwatch is passionate about providing funded opportunities for educators to get involved in our conservation research expeditions. Earthwatch educator programmes provide a unique professional development opportunity which is designed to inspire and re-energise educators, providing them with a fresh perspective on teaching environmental issues. Through this programme, educators learn new skills, network with like-minded education professionals, are brought up to date with cutting-edge science, and gain specialist knowledge on a research topic relevant to the National Curriculum. All these elements combined stimulate these individuals to discover innovative ways of bringing conservation issues alive in the classroom, helping to inspire a new generation of ambassadors for the environment.

"An amazing week with a group of like-minded people. Lots of fun, along with thought provoking discussion and experiences. A definite inspiration to both my teaching and life out of school."
