Kuoni has worked in partnership with Earthwatch for the past 2 years supporting Earthwatch’s conservation activities and promoting and selling Earthwatch expeditions to Kuoni customers. Both Earthwatch and Kuoni are delighted that the feedback from customers so far has been fantastic, so much so that Kuoni are now giving Earthwatch a double-page spread in one of their brochures.
Now, Kuoni along with healthcare charity Nuffield Health have launched an experiment to see if holidays actually improve your health. Two lucky winners joined Earthwatch’s Amazon Riverboat Exploration project in August – a project BBC Wildlife Magazine rated as the Number 1 Volunteer Holiday in the World in 2010.
Their physical health and psychological well-being were assessed before and after their expedition and we are now impatiently awaiting the results!
At Earthwatch we’ve long known that even if it turns out there is no direct physical benefit, the psychological benefit of putting something back in to the environment on which we all depend is huge.
