Banking on Sustainability
New film showcases Earthwatch’s award-winning work with HSBC.
For the past five years Earthwatch has worked with more than 100,000 HSBC employees around the globe, helping them understand and engage with environmental and sustainability issues.
A short film has been produced by Earthwatch to mark the completion of the Climate Champion programme, which ran from 2007 to 2011, as part of the HSBC Climate Partnership.
The film, Banking on Sustainability, looks at the impact of the programme within HSBC. It covers HSBC Climate Champions’ online, volunteering and field research activity, plus the environmental business projects that Climate Champions delivered within the bank. The film also features interviews with Bill Thomas of HSBC, Earthwatch’s Eve Carpenter and Dan Bebber, as well as Climate Champions themselves.
