Dear Earthwatcher,

In the month marking National Science and Engineering Week, Earthwatch is thrilled to announce the launch of its first ever Citizen Science Competition. Discover how scientific research helps us better understand the causes of and potential solutions to today’s most pressing environmental issues, and enter the competition for a chance to speak at our annual debate, and win two places on an Earthwatch expedition.

Be sure to book now for this month's lecture too. Farming and sustainable environments, chaired by Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury, will be held at the Royal Geographical Society on 17 March. I hope to see you there.

Finally, please don’t miss your opportunity to join us at the 2010 Earthwatch SustainaBall. Tickets for this annual gathering of the Earthwatch community are now available.

Warm regards,

Nigel Winser
