Dear ${member.firstname},
Are you looking for a fresh and exciting way to engage your class? With Earthwatch School Group Expeditions, you and your students could be monitoring hyaena behaviour in the South African bush, or helping to save Trinidad’s sea turtles from extinction.
Earthwatch can offer you and your students unique opportunities to help conduct hands-on scientific research and environmental conservation in stunning locations around the world, while developing professional skills in a responsible and safe environment.
By leading an expedition, you'll make a positive difference not only to the planet, but to the lives and attitudes of your students, reinforcing classroom teaching. Working with world-class scientists and local communities, you'll help to protect natural and cultural resources, encouraging both professional and personal growth, not only by learning, but also by putting knowledge into practise.
What's more, we’ll help you every step of the way.
Earthwatch School Group Expeditions are usually limited to students aged 16 to 18. Expeditions can be organised for groups ranging from 6 to 20 participants, and teachers may participate for free!*
To experience an Earthwatch School Group Expedition in 2010, you’ll need to register with us by 15 October 2009. To get started, or to answer any questions you may have about this deadline, email Tom Berry, or call him on +44 (0) 1865 318870. If you'd prefer to drop by and talk to us in person, we'd be happy to arrange an appointment.
Earthwatch was ranked number one in both volunteering and education by National Geographic, and is regarded as one of the top international wildlife and conservation organisations.
