Earthwatch staff celebrate Royal Wedding with English tea party

Oxford 28 April, 2011

Following the announcement in March that Earthwatch is to be a beneficiary of the Charitable Gift Fund established by Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton to mark their wedding tomorrow, Earthwatch staff celebrated the happy occasion at their office in Summertown, Oxford on the eve of the wedding.

Nigel Winser, Executive Vice President of Earthwatch said "Prince William and Miss Middleton’s marriage will be a proud day for Earthwatch. The valuable support that they have demonstrated through the establishment of the Gift Fund will help advance Earthwatch’s educational programme that provides environmentally-focussed training opportunities for teachers. Our team here in Oxford is celebrating and raising a glass to the royal couple while enjoying traditional English tea party fare on the eve of the wedding. Our colleagues in Boston will be celebrating in similar style on the wedding day itself.”

A share of the funds raised through donations from wedding guests and members of the public to the Royal Wedding Charitable Fund, will be donated to Earthwatch in support of the charity’s educational programmes.

Donations can be made via the website www.royalweddingcharityfund.org which includes a full list of the charities to benefit, personally chosen by Prince William and Miss Middleton.

You can also donate to the fund by calling  0300 123 2904 or texting 70294 through which you can also send a goodwill message.
