Earthwatch expands work in Estonia with Darwin Initiative Grant.

Earthwatch, the international environmental charity, and principal scientist Dr. Chris Joyce are celebrating their success in securing a £178k Darwin Initiative grant. As a result, Earthwatch and Dr Joyce will be expanding their ongoing research project in the coastal wetlands of Estonia, one of the new EU Accession States.

Dr Chris Newman, the leading scientist on the Earthwatch Mammals of Wytham Woods project, is celebrating the success of the recent badger census, which took place in Wytham Woods, Oxfordshire, this month. Volunteers from around the county turned up in their droves to show their support.
