Camera traps reveal secret snacking and night-time prowls!
A growing number of research projects around the world are using camera traps as a tool to monitor populations of species, and to study behaviour. As technology becomes more sophisticated and affordable, camera trapping is shedding light on the lives of otherwise rare and secretive animals.
A surprising number of curious, unexpected visitors also drop by to have their picture taken! Here we share with you a selection of some of the best images from Earthwatch projects in South Africa and Ecuador.
