Diageo is the world's leading premium drinks business with over 20,000 people in 80 countries.
Diageo joined CERG in 1998 and has worked with Earthwatch in a number of ways to improve its environmental performance. The Diageo Foundation supported an Earthwatch fellowship programme between 2003 and 2006, placing employees with the best ideas for environmental action on Earthwatch field research projects. On their return, participants were given the opportunity to implement their proposed action which was often related to the company's 'Water of Life' programme. Diageo also conducted a biodiversity supply chain risk analysis with Earthwatch in 2006, in order to identify potential risks posed to the business and environment as a result of procurement of ingredients.
