Land Securities Group plc
Land Securities is the UK's largest quoted property company, with interests in most major cities and towns in the UK, including projects in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol and Canterbury, as well as North Kent Thameside. The company also owns and manages major office, retail and industrial premises throughout the country and its newest arm, LS Trillium, is the UK's largest provider of total property services, with clients including the BBC and the Department For Work and Pensions.
Land Securities joined Earthwatch in 2002. Their main objectives were to gain a greater understanding of how all their activities, rather than just new developments, can impact on biodiversity, and in particular how they may then be able to have positive rather than negative impacts. The regular meetings, where there is a chance to discuss environmental issues with other companies from different industry sectors, are proving very useful for Land Securities.
