Pindar is a leading print and electronic media company who employ more than 1,000 people across the world. The family owned company was founded in 1836 in Scarborough, UK where its head office remains today.
Pindar joined CERG at the end of 2007. The Pindar and AlphaGraphics businesses are committed to improving environmental standards and the partnership with Earthwatch is part of the Pindar Group's five-year "Respect the Planet" change management programme.
Earthwatch and Pindar have a shared commitment to understanding and managing climate change and responsible, sustainable environmental practices. Through this partnership, Pindar and Earthwatch will work together to identify opportunities for engagement with local, regional and global partners regarding the preservation of forests, woodlands and oceans.

As a new Corporate Partner, Pindar is now part of the Corporate Environmental Responsibility Group (CERG). Earthwatch looks forward to developing the partnership through this platform and looking for new opportunities to help Pindar realise its ambitions.
Marketing and Philanthropy
Pindar very generously provided Earthwatch with a charitable contribution of $100,000 USD to support their field research and education programmes. Through the engagement of employees and suppliers, Pindar will raise the profile of Earthwatch and their own Respect the Planet strategy as well as looking at the opportunity to implement CSR activities with schools and communities that are relevant to their locations.
Pindar and AlphaGraphics are also raising awareness of Earthwatch and its oceans project through its sponsorship of US Sailing.
