Employee Learning and Development
Our programmes incorporate standardised or tailored facilitated learning sessions alongside fieldwork, designed to increase understanding of environmental and sustainability issues within the context of your organisation, to help drive meaningful change.
As field research assistants on location for periods of between one day and two weeks, participants become immersed in relevant environmental issues.
Case Study: HSBC Climate Partnership
Earthwatch's role in the HSBC Climate Partnership involves a five-year research programme involving over 100,000 HSBC employees in learning and engagement activities around climate change and forest ecosystems.
During the five-year programme, employees from across the business are selected to spend two weeks at a Regional Climate Centre. Here, they work with scientists and take part in discussion and action planning sessions to increase their understanding of climate change. When they return to work, they will develop projects that further HSBC's commitment to sustainability.
Ashridge undertook an external evaluation of the HSBC learning programme in 2010. Read a summary of the report here.
