Family Expeditions

Earthwatch family expeditions provide the opportunity to take part in exciting and enlightening activities together.

We believe that Earthwatch expeditions make great hands-on learning family experiences which can broaden your child’s experience with real life science skills and application outside of their classroom. Getting kids involved in science expeditions at an early age helps develop critical thinking skills and an appreciation for the natural world, as well as providing inspiration and a model for personal involvement in taking care of our planet.

  • Hands-on science with special instruction from the scientists
  • Organised recreational and cultural activities designed for Family Teams
  • Additional Earthwatch and field staff members to facilitate the kids activities and research activities
  • Project skills and experiences may meet requirements for scout badges and community service
