Are you interested in going on an expedition next year? Or want to help a loved one plan for a future volunteer experience? Set up an Expedition Fund for yourself or anyone you designate!
You can establish a gift registry for special occasions, such as a marriage, graduation, or birthday. Set up an online fund with an initial contribution of $100; then friends and family members can make donations (minimum of $25 per donation).
Earthwatch Expedition Fund donations are tax deductible in the year the donation is made. So you can get a deduction this year, and go on an expedition next year! You have up to 3 years from the time the donation is made, to go on an Expedition (after that, the funds become general donation to Earthwatch Institute). Expedition Funds can be used for Adult and Teen teams.
