College students and grads invited to enter photo challenge on why it's crucial to save the environment. Winner receives an Earthwatch expedition and flight to Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, or Australia.

Earthwatch Institute, Maynard, MA, 22 May 2007 - Earthwatch, the global volunteer organization, is pleased to announce a partnership with Boston-based Experience, Inc., the nation's leading career services site for college students and alumni. Earthwatch and Experience have launched the Experience for Life photo challenge. The student or grad who submits the best photographic entry that illustrates the answer to the question "Why is it crucial to save the environment?" will win the opportunity to participate on an Earthwatch expedition. The photo challenge is running on Experience's website through September 30, 2007. Entries must be received by September 7, 2007, after which Experience site visitors will choose the winning entry out of 10 finalists through online voting.

"We teamed with Earthwatch to have a well-respected industry voice contribute to our online Non-Profit and Social Enterprise career information, and the Experience for Life networking expedition is just one in a series of our "Exclusive Experience" opportunities available to our growing member base," says Jennifer Floren, founder and CEO, Experience, Inc. "Through these exclusive opportunities, Experience is providing college students and alumni the tools needed to gain unique experience and skills, while simultaneously networking with industry professionals."

For Earthwatch, the partnership is also a big win. As Earthwatch's Director of Volunteer Outreach, James Fry, said "We are depending on tomorrow's leaders to save the world's endangered animals and habitats, but to do that, they have to know them first. By getting them out there to really get their hands wet, to track jaguars or lions, to capture enormous Nile crocodiles, or to follow the migrations of grey whales, students who have spent the last four years in lecture halls get to apply what they've learned, and learn even more. We regularly hear from students and young professionals that Earthwatch expeditions change their lives by showing them that they have the power and the responsibility to shape their world."
