Earthwatch Institute

Dear Earthwatcher,

Welcome to your April eNewsletter. This is an exciting, busy month: we've just held our annual event in New York City, this year celebrating Earthwatch's citizen science volunteers around the world, and are in the process of moving our headquarters from Maynard to Boston, MA.

As exciting as these things are, there's even more going on in the field with our Earthwatch scientists and volunteers. In this issue you can read about the latest research findings from the west coast of Scotland, where a group of killer whales is threatened with extinction. You can also enjoy a fascinating account of our research in South Africa, where Earthwatch scientists and volunteers are working to develop our understanding of the brown hyaena.

Look out next month for information on some upcoming "Open Houses" at our new offices, and how you can get involved in this summer's annual Beat the Heat of Climate Change Campaign, kicking off with a special event at Vault in Boston on June 16.

Warm regards,

Ed Wilson,
President and CEO
