Earthwatch Institute

Dear Earthwatcher,

Earthwatch works hard to engage people across the world in conservation, inspiring them to protect our planet's wildlife and habitats. Often, however, it is the volunteers themselves who, in turn, inspire us with their determination and passion. This gives us all at Earthwatch extra energy and we are very grateful. In this newsletter's "Tall Tale," you can read the uplifting story of one particularly amazing volunteer.

Also this month, we're happy to give you a preview of our Beat the Heat Climate Change Campaign, which will launch in Boston on June 16 and provide many ways for you to get involved in helping support our climate change research programs. Now that we're (almost) totally unpacked and set up in our new headquarters in Boston's Allston neighborhood (see story below), Beat the Heat will be just one of many ways we'll be working closely with our closest neighbors while at the same time keeping Earthwatch active on the global stage.

Warm regards,

Ed Wilson,
President and CEO
