Earthwatch’s Online Field Reports Archive
We’re pleased to announce the launch of a rejuvenated online archive for Field Reports from our research and conservation expeditions.
Going back to 2003—and from as recently as 2008’s field season—this Archive contains downloadable PDF files of the reports submitted by Earthwatch Scientists. Field Reports highlight any given year’s most exciting discoveries by volunteers and scientists working together in the field (such as the identification of a new species), summarize emerging trends in data and the scientists’ hypotheses (such as evidence of and ideas about a species’ changing population levels), and report on significant results of the work Earthwatch volunteers and scientists do with such passion year after year (such as the establishment of a forest or marine reserve).
The archive contains Field Reports for more than 140 past and current Earthwatch research projects, most with multiple years available, with many more to come as we continue to improve our Field Report system. You’ll need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to read these PDF files, so once you’re sure you’ve got that, dig in—and happy reading!
