Earthwatch is honored to once again have the support of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. through their Live From the Field fellowship awards to K-12 educators nationwide.
Live from the Field Overview
Live From the Field fellows join Earthwatch's leading researchers for 7 to 10 days during the school year and engage classrooms and communities back home, communicating live from their research sites.
Educators selected for this fellowship program share their experiences in the field through technologies such as:
- Live Web videoconferencing
- Interactive blogs
- Satellite teleconferencing
Educators use Live From the Field to take students with them virtually via posting web journals and photos, and use the latest in educational communications technology to develop lesson plans and classroom activities based on what they're doing in the field.
The Wells Fargo / Earthwatch Partnership
The Wells Fargo-Earthwatch partnership provides meaningful community-based strategies to support Wells Fargo's commitment to environmental sustainability.
Wells Fargo Teacher Fellowships support educators' professional development, enhance science and technology education within the classroom, and enrich educators' understanding of climate change.
